Meet Dylan— the recipient of Brian’s Full Ride Scholarship
We are so excited to share that, along with Brian Stevens' family, Teton Adaptive has selected the inaugural recipient of Brian’s Full Ride scholarship. The fund, which was established in 2019 on what would have been Brian’s 40th birthday, secures Brian’s legacy as a caring man who gave selflessly to others, who loved snowboarding and the outdoors, and Jackson Hole. His friends described him as a good man, someone who “always had a smile on his face, and … who knew how to make people laugh.” There seems to be no better way to honor Brian’s generous spirit than to announce the recipient of Brian’s Full Ride on what would have been Brian's 47th birthday. Brian’s family is honored to extend their congratulations to Dylan on being selected as the recipient of this scholarship, and they hope that Dylan will not only benefit as an individual but also that he will adopt Brian’s spirit of giving back to others as he goes through life. Dylan, a 23 year old from Afton, WY, has been snowboarding with Teton Adaptive and JHMR for 6 years. He has been snowboarding with the same instructor the whole time, and he says “having that consistency has helped [him] grow tremendously” and has helped him “recognize [his] talent”. In the six years that Dylan has been snowboarding, he says confidence has grown. Physically, it has given him more skills and he can even do a few tricks! But mentally, he has gained clarity and focus, and given him goals to work towards. Because of his growing confidence on his snowboard, he also enjoys riding with his friends and helping to teach them using what he has learned in his lessons.

Dylan is honored to receive Brian’s Full Ride Scholarship. He wrote “knowing that people believe in me and want to support my journey means a lot, and it motivates me to keep pushing forward and continuing snowboarding. Snowboarding gave me more than a sport—it gave me confidence, purpose, and a future I’m proud of. As an adaptive athlete, it showed me that my disability does not define my limits. I hope to continue growing and to give back by supporting and inspiring others the same way I was supported.” We are so excited for Dylan to continue snowboarding this year through Brian’s Full Ride, and to keep sharing his passion with the world.
“Snowboarding gave me purpose. It gave me something to work toward and helped shape who I am today. It made me proud to be an adaptive athlete.”
