Meet our 2026 Board of Directors

As we rang in the New Year on January 1st, we also celebrated the addition of 3 new Board Members, and board members assuming new roles on the board. Mike passed the presidential reins to Jenny, while Thomas, Caroline, and Allison joined the Board of Directors.

Get to know the members of our board below, and learn why they feel called to serve this important work!

Jenny - I was drawn to TA because I have a child with special needs. I have experienced first hand how impactful this organization can be, not only to a participant, but to an entire family. I am grateful to be able to serve an organization that touches so many.

Claire - I decided to serve on the Teton Adaptive Board to continue my involvement with people with disabilities supporting the TA mission of providing opportunities to experience activities and inclusion to be part of the community.

Mike - My connection to Teton Adaptive starts with my family and what I hope for my son, Ben. Ben has Down syndrome, and I want him to grow up in a community where he can ski alongside his siblings and feel fully part of the mountain life that defines Jackson. Teton Adaptive creates those possibilities. Being part of this board lets me help build a future where every family, including mine, sees their kids belong on the hill together.

Nichole - Working in the disability education and experiential education world, I felt called to the Teton Adaptive board because of the incredible work this nonprofit does. I firsthand have seen the positive impact TA has on our community. I feel deeply drawn to helping continue the incredible community-driven support this organization has to offer.

Sarah - The importance of inclusivity in so much of what makes Jackson special, nature and sports and recreation, the ability to bring more people together in that as a community is what called me to serve on the board.

Matt - I am motivated by Teton Adaptive’s mission to expand access to meaningful recreation for people with disabilities across the Greater Teton Area. Outdoor recreation has the power to build confidence, foster independence, and create connection, and I am passionate about helping ensure those opportunities are accessible to everyone in our community.

Thomas - I joined the TA Board of Directors to be an advocate for young athletes with disabilities. Being an advocate to me is joining the organization’s efforts to adapt the ‘Jackson Hole Recreation life’ to fit the needs of the TA family of athletes. My hope, as well by joining the board and larger TA family, is to cultivate a more accessible environment to play outdoors, forging more and more expressions of freedom and autonomy into harnessing exceptional personal performances of mind and body.

Kate - I have collaborated with Teton Adaptive in various ways through my professional work as an SLP/Director of Rehab at St. John’s Health/Teton PT &Rehab and have observed firsthand the positive impact the organization has on our community members. Seeing individuals get back to the activities they love- there is nothing like it! It goes beyond the individual and meaningfully impacts a person’s friends, family and support system. I am thrilled to contribute to the organization in hopes to see the programming grow and continue to expand its offerings to our community!

Robbi -  I value the opportunities available to the children and families I worked with in our community over the years. When children (and adults) have access to the same activities or sports as their parents, siblings or peers, their world expands.

Allison - I have been a pediatric genetic counselor since 2014, serving children and families across the greater Chicagoland area. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping families navigate rare disease and neurodiversity.  These experiences have deeply shaped my perspective and reinforced my belief that access, inclusion, and adaptive opportunities are not optional, they are essential! I am honored and excited to serve on the Teton Adaptive board and to bring this passion to the Jackson community. I look forward to supporting individuals of all abilities so they can thrive, connect, and enjoy what our beautiful valley has to offer!

Tori -  When I moved to Jackson in 2018 and started working as an occupational therapist for Teton County School District, I had no idea that I would be skiing with my students, thanks to Teton Adaptive. Since then, I’ve seen the joy and incredible experiences that Teton Adaptive provides for those with disabilities in our community. So when I was asked if I was interested in joining the board by fellow coworker and board member, Claire, the answer was a definite yes! Working with people with disabilities has always been a passion of mine and I’m glad that I get to be a part of this larger community, and those who greatly benefit from this wonderful organization.

Caroline - What has called me to serve on the Teton Adaptive Board of Directors is a deep commitment to disability inclusion as a core expression of human dignity, not a peripheral consideration. Throughout my work, I have focused on building systems that recognize the full humanity, agency, and potential of people with disabilities — especially in environments where access, movement, and belonging have historically been limited. Teton Adaptive’s work reflects a philosophy I strongly align with: that adaptive recreation is not simply about sport or activity, but about autonomy, confidence, community connection, and joy.
