WYDAHO
August 22 - 24, 20025
Grand Targhee Resort, Alta Wyoming
Wydaho is an adaptive mountain bike festival hosted at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming.
Historically, Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival was hosted by Teton Valley Trails and Pathways (TVTAP) that increasingly gained more adaptive presence throughout the years. As the original festival sadly came to an end, the disability presence remained strong, and we will continue the event as an adaptive bike festival!
Teton Adaptive and Valley Adaptive Sports are proud to host this event, partnering with the National Ability Center, Wasatch Adaptive Sports, DREAM, Eagle Mount, and Higher Ground to offer a wide range of coaches, bike demos, group rides, and support.
A Festival For EveryBODY!
We aim to offer an inclusive environment to people of all disabilities and riding levels. No experience necessary! Everyone is welcome - family and friends are more than welcome to join the event regardless of disability. However, we do ask that they register so we can have total numbers for meals, group size, etc. Please keep in mind: we will only have adaptive bikes for rent, so if they need a standard rental, they can rent straight from the base of Targhee!
We will be offering group rides (both downhill and cross country), skills clinics (?), and fun! We encourage people to bring their own bikes, but will have program rentals available for those who need them, or who request in advance they would like to demo a program bike.
The Scene
Camping – with accessible bathrooms and showers – is included, and is a great way to make lasting friends and memories from the weekend! However, if you prefer to stay in a hotel, there are a handful of accessible rooms that can be booked from Targhee. Please note: the campsite is packed dirt and gravel, so if you have a firefly, batec, freewheel, smart drive, etc., bring it! The campsite is downhill from the base of the resort on a dirt road, so they’re also great to have to be able to zip up to the restaurants/general store if needed.
Group dinners will be provided with registration, and will happen at the campsite. However, you’re on your own for breakfasts and lunch. Bring your own meals or utilize the handful of restaurants and shops at Targhee. Please refer to the accessibility map to find the best routes to these places.
