Wydaho Adaptive Mountain Bike Camp

Adaptive mountain bikers ride and camp alongside everyone else in an inclusive festival at Grand Targhee Resort on Labor Day weekend!

Mountain bike, sleep, repeat… for 3 days!

Wydaho is the climax of our aMTB season every summer! A fully inclusive mountain biking festival organized by TVTAP at one of our favorite locations, Grand Targhee, riders can expect clinics lead by adaptive riders, cross country and downhill riding and demos of the latest adaptive gear. Longtime adaptive mountain biking (aMTB) riders and newbies connect with gear, programs, equipment grantors and most importantly each other. They ride and camp together for three days far from cell service, work and other modern buzz kills.

Ten Years at Targhee!

This year was our tenth anniversary of adaptive riders attending the Wydaho Mountain Bike Festival alongside all riders. This year 37 people with disabilities attended with 14 females and 23 males demoing adaptive bikes and riding cross country and downhill trails at Grand Targhee Resort. The largest gathering of adaptive mountain bikers, Wydaho Mountain Bike festival is truly inclusive since everyone rides together.

Wydaho Testimonials

  • "Little did I know that when I became paralyzed it opened the door to being a part of the most incredible community of super rad people. I can’t describe the feeling of biking and camping for days with all kinds of handcycles and people that just understand it all. Thank you adaptive community!"

    –Cortney Custer

  • "Big thank you for making this such an inclusive and rad stoke worthy event!"

    –Ashley Shahfer

  • "What I liked most about the event was meeting other hand cyclists and other people in wheelchairs. At one point I looked around the camp and said that this was the most people in wheelchairs that I’ve ever seen at one event!"

Woman Power!

The 2023 Wydaho had 37 people with disabilities in attendance with 14 females and 23 males demoing adaptive bikes and riding cross country and downhill trails at Grand Targhee Resort. This was more participants (and more females) than ever before! There were also more female instructors and staff in attendance. This shows a more balanced representation of the population in general and a trend in the right direction (and more glitter)!
